  • At 3 lbs, this actually isn't the lightest backpacking tent on the market, but it's light enough for most hikers and it's larger than many other backpacking tents.
  • I own one of these, and it has kept me dry on a few rainy trips. The rain fly and double-walls are very effective.
  • I'd rather go with the REI Quarter Dome 1, which is nearly a pound lighter and has a little less interior room.

  • The built-in rain gutter is a nice touch, as it keeps water from dripping down around the door and zipper.
  • The interior of this backpacking tent is pretty spacious, even with two adults inside.
  • The liberal amount of mesh makes this tent a winner when it comes to ventilation.

  • Great tent if you're going backpacking and want to share a tent.
  • Nice ventilation thanks to the mesh roof and opposing door flaps.
  • One of the better two-person tents you'll find in this price range.

  • Found this on sale at REI.
  • Good free-standing model for people who don't like bothering with stakes.
